In 2020 The Jackson Hole Weed Management Association and Teton County Weed & Pest completed a noxious weed mapping project and found that some of the worst infestations were spreading quickly along the Snake River. From this research they started the Snake River Project and created a brochure that was focused on educating the public and motivating them to get involved in stopping the widespread destruction native weeds cause.
