Step 1. Correctly identify your plant.
Perennial with creeping roots and snapdragon like flowers.
Leaves are waxy, bluish-green, egg-shaped and tapering to a point, bases clasp the stem.
Flowers are yellow, 1-2 inches long, the throat is often a darker yellow or orange
Step 2. Choose your method
Hand pull as needed during the growing season and re-seeding patches of bare ground with native grasses to prevent reinvasion.
For larger patches organic herbicides are effective when done in the spring or early summer when the waxy leaf surface is less developed.
Step 3. Repeat.
